Workout music suggestions
I need FAST. REALLY FAST. Think Joe Satriani Surfing fast.
I don't care if it is rock, pop, disco, country, metal, thrash, or anything else.
If people on Ecstasy enjoy it, I probably want it.
45 minutes on the bike, and I kept on bypassing "slow" songs. But they weren't slow when I picked them, but when your heart is racing and your legs are spinning, if the music does not match you are doomed.

Born to be wild
comes to mind. Fits you to a t!
Pull out all the old disco music. Also, the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack has a bunch of good ones on it.
Feel the burn, baby! Amy

none of them terms make any sense. Long as its loud guitars, driving drums, and singer screaming like his balls are caught in his zipper.

Breakin the law - Judas Priest
My ex is a musician. This song was on their set list. I never knew the words. I always thought it was "licking the bowl", (as in when you make frosting, you lick the bowl) so this is what I sang at the top of my lungs.
You dont get much cooler than that!

Hmmm
I find that for working out, like for working, I do best when it's "intense" music -- musically. Everyone's different. :)
A few, running through my playlist:
Aaron Copland, Hoe Down (the Beef commercials) AC/DC, Thunderstruck Aerosmith, Taste of India Allman Brothers, Jessica Orff/Camina Burana, O Fortuna BTO, Let It Ride BNL, One Week Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (BBVD), You and Me and the Bottle Makes Three Tonight BBVD, Go Daddy-O Billy Joel, Angry Young Man Black Sabbath, Crazy Train Bruce, Born to Run Bruce, Rosalita Charlie Daniels Band, The Devil Went Down to Georgia Chicago, 25 or 6 to 4 Dave Matthews Band, Drive In, Drive Out Derek and the Dominos, Layla Doobie Brothers, China Grove Edgar Winter Group, Frankenstein Edgar Winter Group, Free Ride Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Karn Evil No. 9 Fishbone, Behavior Control Technician Focus, Hocus Pocus Gustav Holst, Jupiter Ides of March, Vehicle Jimmy Buffett, Fins Journey, Don't Stop Believin' Led Zeppelin, Kashmir Led Zeppelin, Misty Mountain Hop Maynard Ferguson, Cruisin' for a Bluesin' Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Impression That I Get Mighty Mighty Bosstones, A Little Bit Ugly (OK, maybe not, but it's a fun song) Mighty Mighty Bosstones, What's At Stake Nicholas Payton, I'll Be Glad When You're Dead, You Rascal, You Pirates of Penzance, I Am The Very Model of a Modern Major General Pleasure Bombs, Summer's Over Queen, Keep Yourself Alive Queen, Tie Your Mother Down REM, It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) REO Speedwagon, Keep On Rollin' Sing, Sing, Sing (traditional jazz/swing) The Who, Baba O'Riley The Wiseguys, Start the Commotion Utah Saints, Something Good Rossini, William Tell Overture Vertical Horizon, Everything She Wants
Dunno how fast you want your tempo, but there's at least a start.
-YendorMike, carpet bombing with the songs again.

Nah
That's not supa-fast, like he requested.
Bolero is great coding music (for me). Verra intense. 1812 Overture fits in there as well. But not for extremely fast-paced workout muzak.

"Bat Out of Hell" is good for the opening, but slows down too much in the middle to be of use for his request.

The Damned. The Sex Pistols.
I can't remember which songs in particular at the moment. I think "Neat Neat Neat" by The Damned is pretty frenetic. I think the Sex Pistols did a Beatles cover that was 53 seconds or so. The Damned as well, IIRC.
It's not all noise, though some of it is. :-)
A lot of Depeche Mode is good if you want multi-rhythm stuff. Their albums "Violator" and "Music for the Masses" have a few really good songs.
And there's always, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by the Charlie Daniels Band. Yee Haw! :-)
Cheers, Scott.
