Re: LOTR a no spoiler review...
Went and saw it at 12:45PM today...
Better than I thought, of course worse than I thought.
Missed a bunch of stuff at the beginning... lots. Not bad though. No Tom Bombadil. Timeline a bit screwed up. Aragorn's "love affair". Not too bad though.
One point, darnit, the dang book ended. Don't wanna wait till next year.
Nuff said, don't wanna spoil it fer ya'll.
Added:
One other thing... Elron is played by the same guy that was "Agent Smith" in "the Matrix" very, very suitable for him.

Re: LOTR a no spoiler review...
Not necessarily. Cutting Bombadil out means at least a dozen annoying-as-fuck songs disappear straight off.

Hugo Weaving
Been in a lot of things. Proof, Priscilla, Matrix (as mentioned) - he must have been busy of late what with doing this and Matrix Reloaded.
Gano el bono de puntos for the Matrix LOTR crossover, Scott! :-)

Good point!
Tons of fodder there for soundbites to be attached to system events :)
One of my faves was only the Beatles at the BBC discs. where at one stage John Lennon is interrupting and the BBC interviewer says quite sternly "John go away!". Has had plenty of use alongside errors messages in Windows, that wav file...
On and on and on and on, and on and on and on goes John.

NOOOOO.....no no no no no no
Don't wait, it'll be a travesty for you. Gotta see it in Letterbox format with all the great sound.
Really, when seeing the Balrog come(as a big red glow at first, then you see it) and the goblins scattering... shivers.
Or when Gandalf burns the ring and then gives it to Frodo.... shivers again.
You'll never get that in the "Video"
