Remember... Frodo is only 40 Years old at this time. In Hobbit terms... he is jus a yung ung. Still a "teen", he is innocent, therefore the ring has little to work with.

Come on, ain't that bad...

I have a 12:45PM showing ticket on my desk right now. Taking a ahlf day off, no matter what the Boss says. I'll be sick iffen he dun wanna lemme go... COurse there are 6 others going from the dept.

Remember that you stop aging when you have the Ring, and he got it right as he entered adulthood.
