I'm moving in a month and a half or so.
I sympathize. We bought a 4 bedroom house 20 years ago assuming 2 kids. No kids but all the (large) closets are filled with my wife's stuff. We are moving to a smaller ranch type house with a lot less storage space. I am dreading this.

We also have a four-bedroom house and no kids
Moving into ours wasn't all that bad, because John didn't have much stuff at the time, and all mine fit into about two rooms. But if we ever had to move now, Yikes....
Just packing up the 1500+ stuffed critters would be a job in itself!
I feel for anyone in the moving process, hang in there and take it one box or one room at a time!

That's why there's an eBay! :)
Yeah, I know it would be like selling your children.

Nothing like selling your children...
...any attempt to sell my children on EBay always results in a net loss as the prospects demand lots of cash in return for taking them.

Don't sell 'em.
Have a big ol' bonfire instead.

Stuffed toys == TEH EVIL.
Burn them all now.
It's the only way to be sure.

So very true
My dog Sadie loves to chew the eyes off my daughter's stuffed animals and pull the stuffing out from the resulting holes. That, and chewing hands off action figures. My son got a bunch of Star Wars toys for his birthday last weekend. He left them on the floor. Gen. Grevious did not fare well. We call him Stumpy now.

Your dog is a Sith
I mean, cutting off the hands is like their trademark by now, isn't it?
Darth Sadie. Doesn't have that ring to it ...

Man, I would flip out if a dog ate any of my Star Wars stuff. Of course most of mine is older and more valuable. ;) The bird will nibble on one of my stuffed critters here or there but usually with no damage. Mostly the ones that have fluffy hair or something that are on my computer desk. Brenda Edit: Clarified the critters, not the Star Wars items. If my bird ever eats one of my Star Wars items, he'd better hope the Force is with him and I don't CATCH him!
Thank God for sleep. And when you can't sleep, still thank Him you live to lie awake. :)

I don't envy you that
it really is amazing the volume of stuff that a house collects. I think there's great opportunity in studying the force that attracts stuff to houses.
I think it was Carlin who said "home is where your stuff is". So what do you have if you get rid of a bunch of your stuff?? Is your house more of a home, the more stuff it has?? So it seems.
Have fun, Carl Forde
