Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Bah, this was nothing. Emergency Room, though?!? Quick,..
...somebody call Social Services and take that kid away from DrooK!

Heck, all I caused was *one* instance of impressively-full(*), impressively-stinky diapers. 'T'was on our weekly swimming trip; I'd forgotten to bring any milk from home, and bought a carton from the swimming hall cafeteria that had apparently gone bad. Had the girl behind the counter zap it in her microwave, but forgot to taste it. Max whined a bit, didn't want to drink it, but acquiesced when I foisted it on him.

He fell asleep during the bus ride home, as he usually did then, but when he woke up at home he whined and squirmed until he'd dumped that load of foul-smelling curry-sauce-looking yellow liquid, and filled up on fresh milk in stead. Anki smelled what was left in the bottle, and gave me a good talking-to about always tasting. I don't recall for sure, but I think Max was a bit under the weather for the rest of that day; though I'm sure he was fine the next morning.

*Far* from any ER visit, IMO -- so, no, you didn't succeed in making me feel guilty again. :-)

(*) Full to overflowing; there was some leakage around the edges, IIRC.

Your lies are of Microsoftian Scale and boring to boot. Your 'depression' may be the closest you ever come to recognizing truth: you have no 'inferiority complex', you are inferior - and something inside you recognizes this. - [link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/content/show?contentid=71575|Ashton Brown]
New Probably did him good in the long run
I think kids are kept far too clean these days, which is why they're such a bunch of allergy-ridden wusses.

New Heh - and here I thought I knew what you were going to say:
"That'll teach him never to trust *you* again!" :-)

Yup, BTW, I agree on the main point of your post... Too late for Max, though, it appears: He's allergic at least to eggs; probably, to soy-protein too. (And possibly, IMO, to something more that they haven't figured out.) Soon as he eats something with egg in it, he breaks out in a huge red rash. Teh sukc. :-(

(Meanwhile, in order to encourage just the kind of old-fashioned everyday immunization you were thinking of, I try to look the other way whenever he eats the sand in the sand-box... It's not working, though: He never does, the prissy little bugger! :-)
