(1) I remember back 15 or so years ago in Pasadena, Liz's Seminars for Singles was packed with 40/50-something engineers and 40/50-something women who wouldn't touch an engineer with a 1 meter stick 'cause that's what they'd been married to and wanted no more of it.
Poor guys did everything precisely by the book - right degree from the right school, right house in the right neighborhood, right car, right wife, right number of kids, right lawn, right career at the right company - yet the wife walked out - how could that be?
