You are a complete, f*cking idiot
I was in NYC on 9/11. When the second plane hit I was still in shock from hearing about the first one so I wasn't at work yet, but fully a third of my workplace was on the balcony outside the office and actually watched the second plane hit.
Am I now part of the conspiracy?? One small problem with that theory, this group knows me well and will have trouble believing that I'm a government agent, and knows you not at all and has no trouble dismissing you as a crazy nut.
Feel free to leave anytime you want. Do not pass go.
Regards, Ben

Trenchcoat mafia, eh?
You sure they were... French? The French, they mostly come from France, you know. And their fries? They come from Belgium.
Think about it.

Semi-seriously
The Naudet brothers were at an event that I was invited to attend. Since I parle francais, I was able to have a short conversation with them.
They were there with some of the guys from the ladder company,
Nice guys. So maybe they aren't french after all ;-)

Damn... how do you tell xp that you want to be able to switch keyboard layouts? Doesn't seem to be in the keyboard object, nor in the languages and settings object... you just gots to, gots to have funk^Wfun with accents when you're trying to write in French.

Control Panel, "Regional and Language Options" applet, on...
...the "Languages" tab, press the "Details" button; in the "Text Services and Input Languages" dialog[|ue] that appears, juggle the "Language" setting in the upper combo-box and the keyboard selection in the lower tree/list-box.
I *think* that if you have more than one keyboard (or was it more than one language?) installed, the "Language Bar" and/or "Key Settings" buttons down just above the lower edge become enabled; IIRC, the "Language Bar" is what you want: A quick-switchy-thingy for these settings that you can leave visible on your "Task Bar".
HTH!
Oh, and BTW... Aren't you glad we've got a nice simple GUI to do this in, so we don't have to use a horridly complex command line?

Thanks, I'll have to try to remember that
next time I'm booted into xp. Right now I'm in warp, and it's a nice simple "keyb cf" at the prompt and I'm good to go.

That has been my experience as well.
The issue is that most associate that attitude with random encounters in Paris..and as with any other major city (like New York)..folks are most often just plain rude.
All of "les francaises" that I have been blessed with meeting in more personal settings have been wonderful people, with limited exception being some of the more "noble" folks that I met in professional settings..and having not studied at "the correct schools" was viewed poorly. (I did not attend l'Ecole Polytechnique)

Mass hysteria?
Hallucenogenic gas combined with audio suggestion and holographic projectors?
WHERE ARE YOUR 'THEY LIVE' SUNGLASSES, MAN?
Or are you wearing one of those watches?
They're so damned fun...
