Welcome to IWETHEY!

New It's all over.
After years of false starts, mistakes, dropped classes, finals, and one HELL of a case of Senioritis...

I have completed all the work necessary to get my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, except for some extraneous paperwork.

New !
Excellent! Congratulations!

New woo hoo!!
New Congratulations?
What kind of "extraneous paperwork" are we talking about? Is there anything that can derail your good news there?

Assuming not, then congratulations! And unlike most new grads, I can't joke about your being unemployed, because you're not!

Cheers,
Ben

New No way.
I've spent too much time. If/when this career has run it's course, I'll go for my teaching degree, and spend my retirement filling young kids with revolutionary and dissident thought patterns...

New Nah, some places are stupid like that
I've heard of policies that getting x degree is good for $y raise. Always seemed stupid to me, but it's not like I'd turn it down.

Nah, you've been in the "real world" for years.

Congrats.

Your lies are of Microsoftian Scale and boring to boot. New Better you than me
I and the education system parted ways many long years ago, and I'm sure neither of us wishes to renew the acquaintance.

In any case, congratulations, and I hope the effort proves profitable.

Tell him you're not.

A good friend will come and bail you out of jail ... but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!"
New Im impressed, congrats
I always think about formal recognized education but remembering muy unfortunate highschool days and how my younger siblings denied any relationship to me so the teachers wouldnt kill them, I think I will have to do without. It takes a lot of hard work to do what you have accomplished, be proud.

shrub\ufffdbish (Am., from shrub + rubbish, after the derisive name for America's 43 president; 2003) n. 1. a form of nonsensical political doubletalk wherein the speaker attempts to defend the indefensible by lying, obfuscation, or otherwise misstating the facts; GIBBERISH. 2. any of a collection of utterances from America's putative 43rd president. cf. BULLSHIT

New Awesome
now you can be outsourced like the rest of us!

Does this explain why the job rate *and* the unemployment rate went up last month in WA?

"The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them."     --Albert Einstein

"This is still a dangerous world. It's a world of madmen and uncertainty and potential mental losses."     --George W. Bush

New Those two often move in sync
The unemployment rate only counts as unemployed people who are actively seeking work. It excludes people who would like to work but are not actively looking for a job.

When people hear that employers are hiring again, that tends to restart job searches and moves people back into the statistics.

Cheers,
Ben
