It's all over.
After years of false starts, mistakes, dropped classes, finals, and one HELL of a case of Senioritis...
I have completed all the work necessary to get my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, except for some extraneous paperwork.

What kind of "extraneous paperwork" are we talking about? Is there anything that can derail your good news there?
Assuming not, then congratulations! And unlike most new grads, I can't joke about your being unemployed, because you're not!

I've spent too much time. If/when this career has run it's course, I'll go for my teaching degree, and spend my retirement filling young kids with revolutionary and dissident thought patterns...

Does this explain why the job rate *and* the unemployment rate went up last month in WA?
"The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them." --Albert Einstein

Those two often move in sync
The unemployment rate only counts as unemployed people who are actively seeking work. It excludes people who would like to work but are not actively looking for a job.
When people hear that employers are hiring again, that tends to restart job searches and moves people back into the statistics.
