VTLUG list is MIA
I can't raise Rob, either.
Greg and I were going to discuss hosting it elsewhere. As it's low traffic, my box can do it - Greg's got appropriate rights on it.

Geez... I do everything ELSE!
hehe...
Okay maybe sometime today. I just got all my honey-dews done (for now).
I have a few thing on my plate today including a Debian specific Alpha problem with the Debian Installer and a Vorlon is involved.

If you want I can host it on consultron.ca
I have a mail list server there, and can easily create one for us.

I'd prefer that this be hosted elsewhere...
In the past the mail list has been used when there are connectivity problems to IWETHEY and people are wondering what happens.
That doesn't work so well if the mail list depends on the same system that people are saying that they can't reach.
Cheers, Ben

'twould be best to have it on a different network ...
After the difficulties that some of us had with DNS/hosts/etc. recently, it would probably make sense for the mailing list to be on a separate network. Right?
Cheers, Scott.

Not necessarily
After having a spate of DNS problems with my ISP, they Tech gave me two DNS server addresses to use: One was theirs, and another was a "secret" address of a DNS they use when theirs go down. (Neither were able to resolve "z.iwethery.org" for about a week after the move). So simply having a single ISP does not necessarily imply a single point of (DNS) failure, unless its hosts all yourr accessible DNSs.

Of course it couldn't resolve.
