When I lived there the grocery store beer was 3.2% alcohol, we called it "near beer".
It was funny, because I was used to the "strong" stuff, and it didn't get me drunk. I had to go to the liquor store to buy it. We would have pool parties and my friends would be stone drunk and I wouldn't even be buzzed on the near beer.
I used to bring the "real beer" to the party and most people couldn't handle more than 2-3 cans.
Funny, when I moved back to Texas, someone introduced me to foreign ales which have even more alcohol, and I hardly drink a domestic beer anymore anyway.
The wife buys wine, I like Merlot and Cab. Sav.
I also like the Australian Shiraz, and it's cheaper. I need to make it a point to visit Australia before I die. I like their beer and wine, and the concept of vast beaches with few people appeals to me. The Opera House seems to be appealing, too.
I know where you were headed with that Box, but usually Steers and q----s is reserved specifically for someone who goes to University of Texas and is gender challenged.
