New Sessions committed perjury. I'm Shocked, Shocked....
New Can you imagine what the House would be doing if HRC had won?

Mikem

It's mourning in America again.
New Well, thank goodness *that* didn't happen!
New It's always been easy to know what Republicans are guilty of
Just look at what they're accusing everyone else of.

New Seen elsewhere recently
Nixon: No way do you conduct a more mendacious, scandal-ridden administration than mine.

Trump: Hold my beer.

cordially,
New Reagan had more indictments and convictions than Nixon.

Mikem

It's mourning in America again.
New Certainly it was true
...that Nixon had few convictions apart from a belief in the historical stature of R.M. Nixon and the necessity of screwing his foes. But the short-fingered vulgarian has achieved in six short weeks more in the scandal and clusterfuck line than the two distinguished predecessors you name contrived to do during the first years of their respective terms. I see the potential for real greatness here.

cordially,
New Full agreement.

New since I am not paying a lot of attention to the hue and cry what was the purjery?
He was asked if he discussed the election with the russians and he said no. Do you have him discussing the elections with the russians?

"I had simply asked him what would he do if he had learned that other members of the campaign had met with the Russians, hoping he would say he would recuse himself," Franken said Thursday on CNN's "New Day," referring to his questioning of Sessions during his confirmation hearing.

"He chose not to answer that but instead chose to say that he had not met with the Russians and of course, the ambassador from Russia is Russian."

Asked whether he thinks Sessions lied, Franken said, "At the very least, this was extremely misleading."

HTH.

Cheers,
Scott.
New well that is what franken claims he heard, but what did he say?

New You can hear Sessions yourself.
I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians, and I’m unable to comment on it.

Did not have communications with the Russians.Full.Stop.

Here it is in context...

FRANKEN: CNN just published a story alleging that the intelligence community provided documents to the president-elect last week, that included information that “Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.” These documents also allegedly say “there was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government.” Again, I’m telling you this as it’s coming out, so, you know.

But if it’s true, it’s obviously extremely serious, and if there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?

SESSIONS: Senator Franken, I’m not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians, and I’m unable to comment on it.

FRANKEN: Very well.
