Despite having about as much interest in sport as the Professor of Not Interested In Sport studies at Not Interested In Sport University using an electric Not Interested In Sport machine, the tail-end of a one-day match often gets *real* exciting. And it's as good a time as any to hear the Australian sporting mantra...

"As long as we beat New Zealand" :-)

The only good thing about the long drawn-out Test Matches is that it means it's summer. Still, they're purpose-made for listening too or watching as a background task. The constant burble of the commentators is a pleasant background noise, and when the crowd noise goes up you instinctively prick up your ears and pay attention - without even thinking. Therein lies the beauty.
