i3, 6g ram, 1tb drive

picked up a wd caviar black 2tb drive to add to it.

I don't game, ...loading adobe cs4 now...which is probably going to be the most intensive app used.

ones thats in...pop the side, install the second drive and the firewire card...and I will be able to retire all 4 externals.

What I don't know yet...but its very base hardware...is the Ubuntu install. I expect it will be fine.

Sure seems snappier than the 6yr old machine....which despite an additional vid card could not deal with video well at all. This things even got HDMI out and optical audio out. What luxury.

Sure, understanding today's complex world of the future is a little like having bees live in your head. But...there they are.
