Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Hmm.
For electronica, I'd go for Oxygene and Equinoxe by Jean Michel Jarre. These were absolutely ground-breaking for their time, however Jarre seems to have forgotten why with his more recent concerts. Other people might recommend early Kraftwerk, but I haven't heard them.

My classical experience is a bit limited, by comparison, but I do know a few gems. Holst's The Planets is a worthwhile inclusion. Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries is good, but I'd be fussy about the orchestra (I have one that is only average). For classical crossover, I'd suggest Bond's first album (Born).

A:No, the fingers should be eaten separately.
New on kraftwerk
Computerworld and if one must, autobahn also.
Sure, understanding today's complex world of the future is a little like having bees live in your head. But...there they are.
New There was a song
Makes me think of Ice Castles (song name) of the same time frame as Kraftwerks.

Beep: Any Idea?
New Non music aside: TV910
So this video shows a Televideo 910 terminal on the cover.

My brother had several of these terminals in 1980, and I think he still has one in a shed. I learned Wordstar on CP/M on that terminal. We also used it with a 300 based acoustic coupler to talk to "online" (compuserve) at the time.

Piece of shit, but amazing at the time.

Think about how hard doing electronica was in those days.
New Creative electronica.
Oxygene has a picture of Jarre in amongst a mess of things: numerous analog synths and organs interconnected together with patch cables. (As an amateur synth programmer myself, I know that some of the iconic sounds on Equinoxe are very difficult to re-create with recent synth hardware, requiring modulation links often not provided.)

New oooohh, kraftwerk.
Yeah, thanks. It's been a long time, I forgot about them.

New Okay, that was interesting.
Many thanks! Sadly, I think Autobahn has dated more than Oxygene has.

New Now go listen to Tangerine Dream
I LOVE pandora. I've just started isolating all the songs I've missed since my youth.

It seems to be there.
New I've already got some Christopher Franke.
He wrote all the music for Babylon 5.
