And the LDs did worse.

E.g. 538 - http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/ - had it Con 312/ Lab 204 / LD 103 while the NYTimes says the results were 291 / 251 / 52 / 27 others, seemingly showing that Labour picked up about half of the projected LD seats.

326 are needed to form a majority government.

There's some speculation that Cameron will try to get some of the smaller parties to work with him - but he needs 35 seats and they're not there.

From this spot, it looks like the LDs are kingmakers, but their price (e.g. changing to a more proportional election system) seems too high (at least according to the pundits).

So, it seems like Cameron is going to have a minority government, Brown will be out, and another election may be in your near future.
