Bologna is in Italy, in case you didn't know. So why the FUCKING FUCK should a sauce from there have a FRENCH origin-denoting ending to its name?!?
Are you perhaps claiming it got spread around the world from (i.e, via) FRANCE, so everybody else adopted the "French name"(*), not knowing it's an Italian dish? That's the only theory I can come up with that would even remotely "validate" your sadly-widespread misspelling -- but I'd like to see some pretty damn convincing proof before I buy it.

(*): If it even is called that in France itself -- which I personally very much doubt, seeing as how they're a pretty cultured people.
