Welcome to IWETHEY!

New My recommendation (and Futurama's):
Well, besides the obvious *fact* that NOTHING beats Sigourney[*] -- and the only one who's even come close, so far, is (as Norm pointed out, and ironically (in several senses)) Linda H as Mama Connor -- we shouldn't be narrow-minded, but leave the field open to upcoming talent.

And having seen yesterday's (on MTV3[+] here in .fi) episode of Futurama, I'm fairly sure that the best they could do would be to dial in the "Erotic Assassin" setting on their Lucy Liu-bot... :-)

[*]: Especially in _Aliens_ (= #2), with the Loader exo-skeleton thingy. "Let go of the kid, you BITCH!"

[+]: No, it has nothing to do with the tedious international "music" TV channel.

New Re: Sigorney
You forgot the great leg shots of her at the end of "Ghostbusters". Dress billowing in the wind, lighted from behind...! Of course she was 20 years younger back then.
BConnors
"Prepare for metamorphosis. Ready, Kafka?"
New Great minds.
Yup, Sigourney has *IT* (Never mind futile attempts at defining or deconstructing.. IT just IS.) And for any next role - she don't got to be no babe, neither: character wins.

Maybe mine is a too-simple mind but.. I watch that about every year or so, and (think I) see.. some other wry bit .. in a brief smirk somewhere. And the angst, inarticulate cynicism of The Age summarized in.. Private ___'s

... it's a bug hunt.

Hey.. the little kid (Carrie? Henn) was a trip too. Maybe a fair intellectual match for.. Scott's kid? Hook 'em up! :-\ufffd

(So how could they fuck-up III so horribly ? My guess: 'We' fucking well didn't want to see That couple offed in a contrived lame 'car crash'.. even though the next prospects for 'the pair' would have had to be quite imaginitive, not to become maudlin: they couldn't handle that challenge. Boy.. couldn't they.)

Ashton
we could write our own plots except: no suspense :(
New Hmm, how about ...
The one who plays Nikita on the TV show. What the hell's her name, anyway? Her or Lucy Liu, I could accept.

New looked at a pic of lucy lui
never watch Ally (eat a fscking sandwich) Mcbeal. Think I would like Sandra Oh better from Arli$$ if you ever saw the clip from the loser fsck episode, she played 2 parts.
A pic from last year

My Dreams aren't as empty as my conscience seems to be
New Sandra...
...has the advantage that she can act, as well.

Saw an early film of hers, [link|http://us.imdb.com/Title?0109655|Double Happiness] with my wife, which deals with a Chinese-Canadian woman trying to balance her heritage (and parents) with her life. She was believable in that film, although I haven't seen her since.

New Wrong image
If you didn't see her in the Mel Gibson movie [link|http://lavender.fortunecity.com/westside/797/payback.html|Payback], you don't know why Lucy Liu would work.

New Maybe, still prefer Sandra
My Dreams aren't as empty as my conscience seems to be
New Peta Wilson.
And she's an Aussie. She was quite good in La Femme Nikita.

New Everything is relative - being "good" in that...
...dreck (Sorry, Dan!) TV series (was it really called _La Femme_, or just _Nikita_? Even if it was, let's not defile that name by using it for this!) doesn't really mean all that much.

And no, neither does Bridget Fonda's (or whoeverthefuck it was) performance in the parent phenomenon, the Hollywood movie version... Let's reserve the name "La Femme" for the *real* Nikita, the original French version of the film.

Hmm... There's a thought for (to get back on topic) a Terminatrix: Anne Parillaud, wasn't it?

New Ah...
AFAIK, the series was called "Le Femme Nikita", just like the original movie. However, I'm aware that it may have had a different name upon release in other countries. Hollywood does that sometimes with movies; for TV Series it's a bit rarer...

New Ah times 2
I have no idea what this series is or where it is/was/might be aired.

Someone clue me in?

(note: I don't get cable television.)

It was called La Femme Nikita and aired on the USA network.

New Getting a vague memory
I haven't had cable television for something like ten years, but now that you mention it, I do have a distant memory of the series being mentioned somewhere.

New Jennifer Connely
She has a refreshing wholesome look that would nicely counter the ruthlessness of a hunter/killer robot.
