New How's that work
when serving things to the outside world? Well? You'd have to forward twice; do java applets freak, for example? (had that happen once long ago when I was experimenting with them long ago in a similar setup) I'm not trying to be a smartass for once, I'm curious whether it makes a difference.

Imric's Tips for Living
  • Paranoia Is a Survival Trait
  • Pessimists are never disappointed - but sometimes, if they are very lucky, they can be pleasantly surprised...
  • Even though everyone is out to get you, it doesn't matter unless you let them win.

Nothing is as simple as it seems in the beginning,
As hopeless as it seems in the middle,
Or as finished as it seems in the end.

New Nice. OK.
The problem back then could have been my setup, of course. I had my own rules via a Linux firewall/router, and I'm far from an iptables guru.
