Well, at least it wasn't the Spice Girls movie. I can think of worse things than Star Wars.

Now for my list (in no particular order)

2001: A Space Odyssey
Dr Strangelove
The Shawshank Redemption
Reservoir Dogs
And Many More... These really are just the movies on my I-really-should-go-out-and-buy-these-one-of-these-days list, the complete list would be much longer.

New It's about time Jacques Tati had a mention.
'Coz Mon Oncle is a tops film. I was reminded of its importance when Canon aped its style for some of their bubblejet adverts.

As for being great, or being a favourite, I'm not sure. I've seen less movies than anyone I know, I think.
