Warning... Owls are gonna rant
It's times like today that I HATE being a FUCKING Moderator. Sigh.
In a group I own/run, with 5 moderators with various duties, one of the mods was pissed off by one of MY friends' posts. So the Mod comes running to me, as the "FINAL DECISION" Mod on an issue... and asks me to handle it.
Ok, I try as diplomatically as possible to explain that the moderators should be respected and not dissed, and my friend up and calls me a bunch of names, screams a bunch of fucking things and quits. Unbelievable.
So now I have this shocked bunch of people, trying to figure out what happened, 4 moderators trying to figure out what to do, and my friend emailing me about how mad she is...
Between this and the fucking SWFC..... who reared their ugly head again, it's enough to make owls nuts.

Hmmm regarding the SWFC, tempted I am, yes yes. Listen they would not, however.
Thanks for the idea though. :)
As for the rest, well... hopefully that will all work out in the wash. I just had to blow off steam somewhere where no one would see it from there.

Just remember that ZIwe and Yahoo Groups are both Googled. Anyone can search on your handle and find your posts. But I'll bet there are a lot of Nightowls out there. :)

Sometimes you just can't win. Well maybe I did after all. :) The moderator who upset my friend decided to quit. She's been pretty headstrong and I found that people had been somewhat intimidated by her, cause the other mods came out of the woodwork with suggestions and posts after she left. Then my friend was sorry for all the awful things she said to me, apologized, said she felt like a jerk and that I was a great moderator... that helped a lot. Then, she rejoined the group, which really pepped up morale, so we have a better happier group in the long run. And the SWFC hasn't been bugging me for (looking at watch), three days, 13 hours and 14 minutes! Knock on wood! Nightowl >8# "I learned to be the door, instead of the mat!" Bunch of people who lied to me, banned me when I caught them lying to me, (and we were all pretty good friends last year, I had gone as far as to exchange snail mail addresses with several of them), and now they just won't GO AWAY. ;) They keep posting to me in their group, and this adjoining one that was created to "work things out when problems arise", emailing me sometimes, etc. I managed to keep them out of my groups, (they've finally all quit mine), but man... they need so bad to get a life and stop obsessing about me. what part of ignore the ignorant fucks is hard to do?
I dont agonize wether someone I dont care to here from emails me or posts about me. If I want a argument I will start one or respond to it. If I dont want to I will ignore it. The Majik man has done this successfully as have others.

The Majik man has done this successfully as have others. Well for the most part, I do ignore them. But they are... well, extreme. They've joined other people's groups to get to me and create scenes, as sneaky ids, they've gotten to friends of mine to email or IM me and relay messages and I've had to tell the friends not to relay the messages, and now they are even trying to email or post to other friends of mine not even related to the issues. And they are also ordering me what I can do and can't do, although for the most part, I'm ignoring that too.
