Welcome to IWETHEY!

New I object to the answer to #10.
In argument #10, the answer includes "The sad fact is, many will make the decision not to be a part of God's heaven. God won't send them to hell; they'll send themselves." In other words, anything outside of heaven will be hell. That's presumptious. The British once shipped criminals to Australia but Australia didn't turn into a lawless despotism. It is more likely that people that refuse to go to heaven would form their own civilised society.

Or does that mean god will force living outside heaven to be unbearable. I imagine setting everything on fire would do that. In other words, 'My way or no way'. Sounds like evil to me.

Besides eternal bliss sounds like hell to me. There is a reason why I don't use heroin.
Matthew Greet

But we must kill them. We must incinerate them. Pig after pig, cow after cow, village after village, army after army. And they call me an assassin. What do you call it when the assassins accuse the assassin? They lie. They lie and we must be merciful to those who lie.
- Colonol Kurtz, Apocalypse Now.

It didn't? The land that drinks Fosters and Castlemaine XXXX? I protest, sir!

New Hey, knock off the anti-Foster's stuff.
The Foster's of Toronto is quite good lager. Make sure when casting stones at Foster's that you say "Australian Foster's".

I've been drinking beer since you were still on your momma's breast milk. And Foster's (Toronto, in the can) and Labatt's is all I ever drink now that my palate has been refined.

The soul and substance of what customarily ranks as patriotism is moral cowardice and always has been...We have thrown away the most valuable asset we had-- the individual's right to oppose both flag and country when he (just he, by himself) believed them to be in the wrong. We have thrown it away; and with it all that was really respectable about that grotesque and laughable word, Patriotism.

New Pardon me?
First of all, it's "palate" unless you are descrbing your skid building skills. And secondly, you somehow used that word (however mispelled) in the same sentence as Labatts.

Without choking.

Shame on you.

New Labatts
How do I put this? It's the Budweiser of Canada. Popular and not unpleasant. This is not the same as good. Seeing as how I've only visited Canada 5 times my opinion can't be considered authoritative. I will say that every time I've been there, I've found much better beers.

If you are talking about the beer that is imported to the US under the Labatts label, and you consider it a "good" beer, I'll have to hope that someday you get to enjoy a truly good one.

(BTW, I was thinking of suggesting we move this discussion to another forum. then I remembered we're talking about beer.)

New Not all Labatts beers are Blue...
... or should I say not all of them blow? gd&rfc

John Labatt Classic is quite good for a mass market beer.

OTOH, in Ontario, I'll go with Conors, or Unibroue if I'm in Quebec. Upper Canada (Ontario) makes some good stuff too. Big Rock in Alberta also makes some fine suds.

If you want a decent cheap beer in Quebec, the Boreale line (blonde, rousse) are drinkable too. No Molson Canadian in Quebec; I wonder why that would be? In Quebec, it's renamed Laurentide...

New To clarify: Australian Fosters is Rubbish.
That, of course, is why we export it (or licence the recipe, or whatever). No-one here in the right mind touches the stuff!
John. Beery lad.
New As Olympia used to say...
before Shitz bought it and turned it into complete crap,
"It's the water, and a lot more." Canada has better water than Australia. ;-)
