No, I'd prefer people receiving income in the form of
dividends pay their share of the tax burden. Someone making ten million a year from dividends and not having any other form of income should pay no taxes? What, they don't use roads?

Their share of the tax burden?
I'm perfectly happy to let other people get more of a tax cut than me, just so long as I get a tax cut. No need to be petty about it. Though I'd much prefer a flat tax. But first we've got to get spending under control. Reform the parliament of whores.
By the way, do we all understand how power law distributions work?

World ends, news at 11.
I almost agree with Marlowe. Don't get too used to it, though, troll-boy.
Best way to get spending under control, IMO, is to lock down the amount of money flowing IN to the system, however. That's why rational tax reform is needed.
Counting income from stocks as regular income is one step in the right direction. The source of the income should not matter in tax calculations.

So you are in favor of dividends being classified as an...
expense to the company?

I don't believe in write-offs.

And that includes your employers payment of your salary and
benefits, interest on any loans they have, depreciation of equipment they have bought, supplies they buy, etc.? Even if all these might exceed their revenues?

There's more to it than that.
I also don't believe that both a) corporations should be taxed and b) corporations should have any rights of citizenship.

Actually I probably understand power laws better than you
Now care to explain why the exponent in the wealth power law seems to be shifting over time?
