I know some of the people more local to here (Hasty P's, Signals) and some ex-mil guys, but the Princess Pat is a hell of a long way away from here.

The CO of that regiment was on TV a lot up here after they got bombed by your guys... very impressive. It was his last active assignment... not a good way for it to go for him.

If you guys want to understand the military culture of Canada, you should try to lay hands on a tape of the memorial service for the four soldiers that died in the friendly fire incident. It was broadcast on the CBC, but I've checked their online media page and it's not on there (well, it was around two hours long or so).
