Welcome to IWETHEY!

New okeydokies lets get over floriduh and gush/bore
I tenatively like Edwards to run the show for a couple of reasons
I watched his initial race and he was smart enough to dodge the obvious gotchas. When negatives showed up he denounced negative campaigns and hustled a whole pile of 545-c's to smack his opponant accross the snout while decrying above the fray about how abhorrant it is.
Senator Ted likes him and so do other senior dems and repos who arnt whores to the clinton/gore/mineemee crowd
married to the original, came from working class folks 4 kids he aknowleges and so far no porno flicks where he is the star(shows common sense not being caught) Has a legal background(a bad thing) a trial liar(a good thing knows how to present to the hignorant)
hasnt fscked up any assignments so far.
is southron
Is likable (this is important as gore found out that being the SNL churchlady in male clothes doent endear you to the populace)
knows how to say "more fries" as at one time he worked for a living(DFR didnt but he had empathy something you cant get by buggering the poor) and remembers this
can listen to those who understand things he does not. (evidence re his remarks concerning the RTP leave it alone it works)
If he ran I would volunteer for his pinellas office unless negatives would show up.
This man is (by my very limited exposure) the anti clinton the rainmaker who can work both sides of the aisle for the american people instead of his own prestige, think fast on his feet and doesnt think the peeps owe him 2 vanloads of furniture and an license to steal.
Alex I havnt been living there for a while,
wanna jump in? Value your opinion.
thanx,

New Never.
Why should we ask our military to die for cheap oil when the rest of us aren't even being asked to get better mileage?

New Abandon Patriotism? Now? You've got to be joking.
Patriots will NEVER "get over" 2000.

As far as the slime Edwards goes, he was an ambulance chaser. Made his fortune with (oft times) frivilous mal-practice lawsuits. (The kind where, you're a new mom who didn't get pre-natal care because you decided to show up in the ER in labor as your first doctor's visit, smoked/drank/drugged etc. all through your pregnancy - then had a baby with problems. Your fault? Not according to Edwards. He'll rescue you by suing your OB for a couple million - and only pocket 60% for himself). Yeah, the guy is a real prince. Just the kind you want in the White House. A good friend of mine in NC asked me not to repeat this, so I won't give his name, but the first time he voted for a Republican was when he voted against Edwards.

My 2,
Mikem

p.s. If you like Edwards, you probably also like Evan Bayh - YAN Republicrat that is the reason why I'm finished voting.
New Re: Abandon Patriotism? Now? You've got to be joking.
Get over 2000? What we should have done then for closure (once the fix was in) was to hunt down Ralph Nader and hang him from a lamp post. Of course, my political prescriptions are suspect--in 1976, when Reagan failed to wrest the Republican nomination from Gerald Ford, I loudly exclaimed "Thank God we've seen the last of *him*!", and I was quite confident up through last month's election that pissed-off Democrats would turn out at the midterm in unprecedented numbers and blacken the junta's eye. Clearly I don't have a firm sense of the Teeming Millions.

cordially,

New Me neither, but I suspect we're getting what we deserve.
New I'm with mmoffitt, Edwards is a slimy ambulance chaser.
Very polished image, knows how to avoid polarizing issues, and he even answered the letter I sent him on an NC coast environmental issue.

He may look good but I can't trust him.

But, what do I know. I've voted for Jesse Helms in the past. Not that I agreed with Jesse on many issues. He may have been wrong but he was never devious.

New Go ahead, Box, Vote for him.
And be sure you get one of those neat armbands they give people who support slime like Edwards.
New now you got me really confused
clinton/gore is what you ordered. Another clyde shows up with as you describe it clintonian qualities and you dont like him. Wuzzup with that? I knew he was a trial liar and a successful one apparently that disqualifies him.
