The laptop has 160MB (128 + 32). I've tried installing with that as well as 64MB (32 + 32).
On CD1, the system boots off CD fine, though it "pauses" after s:\\eCS\\VCSHDD.SYS. Hitting return a bunch once it pauses will get it going again. Eventually the install screen comes up, but the movie locks up the system. The chess, solitare, and mahjongg intro movies locked up Warp 4.0, so I'm guessing the movie routines don't like my hardware and haven't been updated. Kim Cheung had me try putting the contents of the CD onto my D: partition(which I formatted to HPFS after archiving the Windows stuff so I could restore it later). Once done, I've done various things at Kim's direction to prevent the movie from starting, which worked fine. However, when I stop through to the "disk space needed" screen, the values are xxx MB and the NEXT button stays inactive. We've tried various things to get past that.
I gave CD2 a go around and no luck with it either. First I tried it booting from CD. The system locks up on IBM's IDE driver, so I rebooted and hit D to use Daniela's replacement driver. However, system then locks up again, which I was sort of expecting based on issues I had installing Warp 4(I needed to use Daniela's driver PLUS disable hardware detect). I then made boot floppies and replaced IBM1S506.ADD with Daniela's (renamed DANIS506 to IBM1S506 on the floppy). Bootup went fine, and there was no longer an option to hit D for Daniela's driver(I'm guessing the install noticed it was already using it). So I disabled hardware detect, selected the partition, and the system locked up when I told it to format the partition with HPFS. The lockup occurred with a continuous tone coming out the PC speaker.
Then I booted to command line using CD1 and pre-formatted the partition. Booted from floppies, skipped the format option, and the install proceeded fine and copied files to the hard drive. After a while it locked up again with the continuous tone out the PC speaker.
