New I prefer the euphemism 'TXmas'
Given that Xmas decorations are going up as we speak.

Many fears are born of stupidity and ignorance -
Which you should be feeding with rumour and generalisation.

New We tend to see christmas decorations mid to late October
Since we don't celebrate Halloween or Thanksgiving, the shops all get in far too early with the tinsel, the fake snow, and the trees, you know - the whole winter wonderland bit. Never mind that it's like 30 degrees celsius outside :)

Then on December 26 it's "Back to School Savings" eveywhere, and the day after school goes back (usually early Feb), easter eggs start appearing in supermarkets. All quite strange, really!
John. Busy lad.
New Same in the states...
In mid-October I was doing a bunch of housework, so I had occasion to go out to a few stores like Home Depot and Menard's. All of them had XMas decoration out. Snowmen and deer for your lawn, shit for your windows, etc, etc, etc.

All in all, rather annoying since Halloween hadn't even arrived yet.
