So now we know

Like we didn't before, but we now have donfirmation that they will flagrantly flaunt the law as long as they expect the fine to be less than they expect to make from the illegal behavior. Why do judges not take this into account when levying fines? The point is supposed to be that "crime doesn't pay" isn't it?
