New Good CSS/XHTML guide?
I've been looking into CSS2 and XHTML, with an eye towards upgrading the standards we use at work. I've played around for a few months and it's become clear that CSS2 is complex enough that I don't have the time to learn it well by playing with it.

Does anybody know a good book or online guide that covers CSS2, perferably with XHTML?

Jay

Check out [link|http://www.w3schools.com/|w3schools.com]. They've bunches of free online tutorials and references, including XHTML and CSS2.

New The specs are SHORT. Read them.
Seriously, the CSS2 spec is, what, 30 pages? Read about syntax, then selectors, then play around. If you have already played around, read Eric Meyer's stuff on the web and his book.

The XHTML spec is even shorter (or did you mean DHTML?). XHTML is not much more than changing <BR> to <br />, und so weiter.

Many fears are born of stupidity and ignorance -
Which you should be feeding with rumour and generalisation.

I use that one all the time. It's a bit outdated (especially their CSS validator), but they've got good information and it's well-laid-out.
