Use a [link\|http://www.dmartstores.com/nasasbysaf1s.html\|nasal aspirator] and squirt up one nostril. The crap flushes out the other. Alternate nostrils until the cup of saline solution is gone. Post #56,508 by hnick 10/13/02 12:12:40 PM Reply	Iodine shouldn't hurt anything except maybe a delicate sauce :) I use a couple table spoons to a cup of water. Possibly does not need to be that strong. Spice's doc said a tablespoon. Might try that first and adjust according to need.

The saline helps it heal quicker, kinda like how cuts heal quicker after swimming in the ocean.
