New In general, inhalant steroids are Bad News
Long term use of such things has been implicated in exacerbating (or even causing) the eye disease I have.

I steadfastly refuse to use them for my asthma, and instead prefer the old synthetic adrenaline despite the short-term side effects.

New Additional risk for women
Bone loss.

As my mother discovered in her 50's when she managed to snap both wrists at once. (She was chasing a ball, tripped, grabbed a door...shouldn't have hurt either wrist under normal conditions.)

It is a risk for men as well, but men start of with bigger bones so it isn't as worrisome for us.
