right now we rent or lease most of the systems, and a copy of Windows 98 comes with it. We had Whitebox NT 4.0 Servers, but are moving to Rackmount Dell servers.

All I can do is suggest OS/2 and see what my boss thinks. It is his company and he calls the shots.

I'll send you an email with the details of what we use, and you can give me a list of OS/2 technologies that can do the same thing. The problem would be to get everyone trained on OS/2 technologies instead of 98/NT/W2K technologies.

My idea was to rewrite it in Java, so that it can run on any platform. Java uses JDBC and can hook into almost any database out there. That way even a PalmOS or Windows CE device could use it. Linux, MacOSX, OS/2, or any other platform that can run Java can run it. My boss had an idea to go to a web service and run it in a browser. But for right now we are converting to SQL Server 2000, and making a lot of improvements.
