New Symptoms
RXVT comes up no matter what. If I start it with the above command, I get:

Microsoft (R) Windows 98
(C)Copyright Microsoft Corp 1981-1999.

C:\\cygwin\\bin> [cursor]

Then, if I type something and hit enter, there is a slight pause, and it's echoed back to the console on the next line. Nothing else happens.

If I just invoke rxvt on it's own, then type the following at the $ prompt:

/cygdrive/c/command.com

Then I get the following error message:

SH caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff7d762. (along with some registers)

and it does the exact same thing as if I'd invoked the whole kit with the command line.

Oh, and if I exit out, I get a hung winoldap process.
End of world rescheduled for day after tomorrow. Something should probably be done. Please advise.

See [link|http://www.cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2002-02/msg00114.html|here.]

Looks like a problem with the most recent version of Cygwin and all .com files under 9x. Sigh.

Actually, I don't need the scrollback buffer for a console - just Cygwin itself. If I can get a Cygwin shell, I'm good to go...

And I'm good to go. :) Groovy.
