Did you hear from the Missouri based Unix position yet?

If you don't mind working in Huntsville Alabama, you can contact one of my [link|http://www.aepco.com|former employers] there. They are looking for good people to work as Federal Contractors, all you need do is pass a security clearance. It will be at an Army Base, but security is tight. They even will help you work with a realitor to find a place to stay down there. I converted some Oracle databases from HPUX systems in St. Louis to SunOS systems down in Huntsville. They have some Access and SQL Server databases as well. Your Unix experience will get you in. If you have some Access or VB, VBA, or SQL Server that will help as well. It isn't that hard to learn how to write Access VBA modules, etc. Just pick up a book on it. The Unix stuff you could do in your sleep.

Thing with Huntsville is that they have a lot of other companies down their hiring as well. Mostly Rocket and Engineering companies that work for the US Government. Some people work at the base for a few years, get hired by the other companies, and then go back to the base again.

Should be a shorter trip from Florida than Missouri is.
