Way back when management started thinking about doing spam, it was my task to track down a spam friendly ISP. Keep in mind what I think is spam is far more than the porn, make money fast, amway crap spam. My idea of spam is ANY email (on a piece by piece basis) that you didn't ask for. So this spam was from various high tech publications (paper) send daily news to their subscribers, along with ads on the bottom. They CLAIMED they asked for them. But I dunno. Still spam. Our ISP is Voicenet. Voicenet was Sanford Wallace's ISP. They'd cut our Ts at the 1st hint of spam after the beating they got over him. So I had to find a different one. Then I researched the send/tracking programs, as opposed to writing my own. Then the day came, for the real run. And I had jury duty, so my office mate had to do it. YES! I am NOT a spammer. But it was close. We then gave the tasks to another part of the company, so I'm still not going to be a spammer.

Theoretically, you HAVE agreed to the email, and all emails from their "valued partners". But just becuase you were too stupid to uncheck the box. And when they sell the list, it starts multiplying, and you will never get off all copies.
