Maybe this thread will help a little - http://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=984829 This bit on perl and UAC might be useful too - http://www.vivtek.com/perl/perl_uac.html It looks like some manual intervention is required if you don't have admin rights, but you should be good to go with Strawberry. http://strawberryperl.com/releases.html I haven't tried it myself, just hoping to save you some time. Strawberry will not be able to run under those conditions.
