In the run-up to announcing, Bernie had made it very clear that he would only run if it looked like no one was going to counter Wall St., and that the main goal of the campaign would be credible pressure on Clinton. He has succeeded in that given Hillary had to steal his points to regain traction.
With that, and his participation with the Democratic Caucus in Congress, it would come as quite a surprise to many up here if Bernie were to burn the bridge following the convention, especially as the GOP would be the sole beneficiary. (He may dislike Clinton, but he has at times referred to exponents of the current "conservatives" as outright fascists.) And without that, few but maybe some Burlington diehards will be writing in his name come November.
