Chances are they may end up in that situation they way the wind blows on the continent when it comes to jobs and housing, but that is not what this effort is about. This is channeling the 1930's.

The new part here is that refugees will be stripped of their possessions on entry, whether they would need welfare immediately or not. It is a pure intimidation measure.
