The 3Com "splitter" device ($149 list) is a wire speed switch and expands one cable to 4 ports (and handles a phone line too). [link\|http://www.aaxnet.com\|AAx]

However, now that I think about it, my Linksys cable modem router has a built in 4 port switch. Thanx!
