I'll bet most of the buyers will put them on blocks in a storage unit.
(I wonder if the "active exhaust" is similar to an option on ~ 1970 GTOs - a vacuum valve would open a flap inside the mufflers to reduce the back pressure (and increase the noise). What's old is new again.) It's a ridiculous car. Of course it won't corner. It's a penis-extender ornament, not a car that's meant to be driven. If they wanted the 500 or 700 HP to be used, the car would have 4WD at a minimum. (Corvettes can get away without 4WD because they're sports cars, not a boat with a big motor.) People who can afford to buy these things have more money than sense. They will expect that they can sell it to a greater fool a few years down the road. That, or, they'll give it to their 17 year old kid and watch him wrap it around a tree. :-( Jeremy: Any car with more than 700 horsepower is daft. You don't ever need or want more than 500. And, truth be told, most of the time, 250 is plenty. Which brings me neatly to the door of the new, MkVII Volkswagen Golf GTI.
I drove it around Britain for seven days. I went to Stratford and Guildford and Oxford and Rugby in it. I used it in London and on motorways. I used it on fast A-roads and on country lanes. And never, not even once, did I think, "I wish this was a bit faster." Yup. Indy Car engines make around 700 HP. That kind of power in a street car is stupid. Cheers, Scott.

I know of a person that had planned to buy and ordered the 2nd 50 year anniversary corvette off the production line. He had a standing order for it, until it was able to be ordered... his was ordered about 2 minutes after the system allowed it.
He had his basement specially re-done on his house... had a seal-able single piece garage door built into the basement... (Yeah an idiot I know) and had the car put on trolleys first, trailered to his house, delivered to the basement, had it prepped for long term storage. Battery acid removed from battery and "kept" in an appropriate container. Gasoline removed from the whole system... a special preservative sprayed into the tanks and fuel lines and had the cylinders prepped and the oil drain and the motor also "sprayed with conservation fluids. removed the coolants... the brake fluids, the transmission similar treatments, the rear axle... rubber preservative gel/conditioner on all thing rubber. Wheel and tires were dismounted and suspension was off the ground. Tires were treated with preservation and bead were broken from the wheels. Plus a myriads of other thing, including the extra memory batteries in the car for things were removed. Filters were removed and stored. Blah blah blah...
All in all he spent a little over $10,000 prepping the car and about $20,000 prepping the basement and transport fees. Let alone the sticker price plus special handling fee for the car.
I don't know if he got the Coupe or Convertible.
But sources has it, the around $50K paid is the top price it is going to see for a long long while. I'm seeing plenty of 0 miles cars for sale and they are getting offers of $35K, with guarantees of 0 miles and everything preserved.
Gonna be a LONG LONG time before he flips the value.
He did this because his brother did some thing similar (though not anywhere *CLOSE* to this level of storage) with a 40th Anniversary and found the right idiot and gained $25,000 from the purchase price and he had about 1,000 miles on it to boot. Of course the 40th was a ZR-1... by far my favorite one so far.

Wrong end of the motor.
VBoost is supposed to do 10%... but in reality, not really. I'm a Yamaha Cruiser aficiando. The V-4 Motor and timing and carbs being tuned properly makes all the difference in the world... and the VBoost stuff *REALLY* only work on the stock tune anyway... most hard core VMax owners, tune the lean out of the system (EPA regulations)and get that 10% well before 5700RPM.
Now the *NEW* 1670cc VMax V4 motor is a wonder of engineering. Yamah needs to put that baby into the Venture and Royal Stars... though detuned. The motor with large gas tanks... you could probably eek out ~44MPG easy, cruising and then... whoosh stomp on it and get like 20MPG.
Yamaha never listens to its Buyers/Consumers of there bikes. Never happen.

Other end, but could work the same
I know 2-strokes are more sensitive to exhaust tuning, but as much work as people put in to creating equal-length headers there must be some effect.

There is...
But it is the Ram Air effect for the VBoost and the CV carbs the VMax uses.
You don't get better scavenging from doing less back pressure, the net effect of scavenging is the same with or with out the back pressure.
X tubes are the big thing now a days, Since the equal length exhaust manifolds/headers to collectors are effectively a done deal.

It's an active one of that, featuring butterfly valves that stay closed at low rpms to limit noise levels. However, if you step on the gas pedal more firmly, those valves open to reduce back pressure and the staccato exhaust note's volume is turned all the way up to 11. Altough, these days it is likely to be closer to Yamaha's driven EXUP valve rather than being vacuum operated.

is, I think evidence enough of the momentum of the zeitgeist: unChanged from 5, 10, 60 years ago: Vroooom über Alles.. forever. Is the Die cast, already?
(And if they actually make a few bucks Doing this, next..? Well, "you know..") Let's see how this mind-set-Check works out in Mopar-$$, eh?
I've Vrooomed with the (2nd? 3rd?) best of 'em; it's not evull; it was a Gas! We did because we Could. Yeah we most-all love those techno Masterpieces as gratified our Lust-for-POWerrr All I know fershure, now is: I cringe, that hugely.. as in over-all: damn few have the slightest interest in altering any habits as got-us-Here.
Live fast, die young and have a good-looking corpse. It ain't just in the MovinPitchers any more :-/ Unless! ... unless Vicarious WIns.. and we'unses Will next settle-for: OK! nostalgia-IS-Enough (??)
