Shameless Self-Promotion
I have finally got around to setting up my photo website, complete with print ordering and all that jazz.
It's at:
http://www.peterwhysall.com
A small selection of pictures to start with, but I'll adding more on a regular basis.
Tell your friends, check back often, etc.
Edit:DNS propagation has completed! Yay internet!

The store web page says you don't ship to USA?

Sorted!
If you don't see the size or product you want, let me know. I'm just guessing at which sizes and products people will want for now.

Excellent. I'll try again tonight.
Quick Q - Are US sizes available? E.g. 4"x6", 8"x12", etc. Off-the-shelf picture frames here come in non-Ax sizes. Trimming is easy enough, so it's not a big deal if they're not.
I'll try again tonight.
Cheers,
Scott.

Done.
I had to log out to get things sorted, but once I did so it worked fine. And it used US dimensions for everything too. I guess they've got a US store. Woot! :-)
Thanks.
Cheers,
Scott.

It's really quite easy for me
I hadn't added the appropriate currencies to my price lists.
When I added USD, I could then add products from the lab that ships to the USA and Canada.
Do let me know if the prints meet your expectations!

Question
When places like this exist in the world, why does anyone choose to live in -- for instance -- Flint, MI? (Or Cleveland, for that matter.)

Born there, not enough money/prospects to emigrate

Yeah, there is that
I think a lot of it, though, is that people really don't know what else is out there. Even with TV and movies and the internet, people don't realize that the rest of the world is not like their back yard.

Just had a look at Flint on Streetview
It's a bit flat, innit?
I know it's all efficient and logical and that, but gawd, what an awful way to lay out a city you might want human beings to live in.

Not going to show you everything.
Flint is a depressed, crime-ridden city. Something to drive past.

You should perhaps...
Ask yourself that very question.
Even though you live in a relatively nice section of the Land of Cleve...

Because they stopped making land
And they stopped making beaches even sooner.
If it is livable and pretty, it is more expensive than most people are willing to pay.
If is is livable and pretty and within commuting distance to a major job center, then it will be fucking expensive.
Housing on Cape-Cod (where the X grew up) was $120K for a 4 bedroom house within walking distance to the beach. Few jobs, so it was not a place to live in the winter, just vacation.
And then the commuter rail showed up. Housing costs QUADRUPLED within 3 years. That 4 bedroom house turned into $500,000.

They arrived today.
The delivery confirmation information said they were on the truck to be delivered Saturday, but I got them today.
They were packed with great care and arrived in perfect shape.
They're fabulous. The computer screen doesn't do them justice.
I got 8x12 prints with the extra coating. They're beautiful.
But I think you're charging too little. $5 each + $3 for the coating?!? In the UK they were ~ 10+ pounds each if I remember right. Consider raising the US price a little so that you two can at least go out to dinner after you've had a few sales!
Thanks. And best of luck!
Cheers,
Scott.

Re: They arrived today.
I'm so pleased you like them.
I think I will revisit the pricing for the US lab, based on what you've said.
Tell all your friends (after I've jacked the prices a little :-))!
