New Good Lord
Rush Limbaugh plumps the Lord's Resistance Army on the air as a way of attacking Obama:

http://thelede.blogs...-resistance-army/

What a disgusting human being he is.
New Before I moved to Indiana, I'd never heard of him.
Here, he is a folk hero. This will do nothing to tarnish that reputation I'm afraid.
New He can do NO wrong here in Michigan, either.
New Then your fellow citizens are cretinous sociopaths.
None so blind and all that. No wonder the US is heading down the drain.
New Oh, you've visited Indiana. ;0)
New That may be
but christ he's an evil little fuck. He needs to be dropped in the middle of that warzone sometime and left there for a week. See how much he likes the LRA after that.
New No, he's an evil big fat f**k
And he's worse.
Ready?
He doesn't really care.
He'll say ANYTHING for ratings.

Read up on the early days of the asshole, some good stories.
New IKR!
Its like watching a locomotive hit a building in super-slo-mo and then locomotive loses.

Its just not going to change until it gets *FAR* *FAR* worse. When there is finally enough outrage in the "Murican Sheeple" to make them get off their dead asses and *DO EFFING SOMETHING*!

Until that time, its not going to change.
New "people keep falling for it"
From an interview in the 1990s. - http://blatherwatch....ling-for-it-.html (3:59 video) (Yes, Beep, he says he's an "entertainer" - someone needs to tell the elected Republicans...)

Fortunately, people may be getting tired of it. His audience was down 30+% earlier in the year (I haven't seen ratings since then) - http://www.salon.com...limbaugh_ratings/

FWIW.

Cheers,
Scott.
(Who stopped listening to Neal Bortz on WRNG in Atlanta when he was around 12 after he finally figured out what he was about...)
New He knows his audience
He started by saying most of them never heard of the LRA.

And he's right. Most of them don't read or listen to anything other than what they are told to.

I listen to "Family" radio about 20 minutes a day. It's like slowing down to see a car crash. I can't help myself, even though when I catch a glimpse of the bodies I am NOT happy.

The "news" in this station is a series of tidbits designed to rile up the Christians. It sound like an official newscaster, and measured tones, with onsite interviews, but EVERYTHING is tiny snippets meant to mislead with no in depth information at all, little grenades tossed out there to push a political direction.

But they can claim to have heard it on the "news".

For those of us on the coasts, it is a real eye opener of just how bad it is. The level of misdirection is amazing, and well done, and obviously propaganda. But for those of you in the middle, it is the norm.

There is a reason we call it flyover country. We don't want to be there no matter how cheap the cost of living is. You still pay, maybe not in cash, but you pay.
