The really surreal thing about all that was
the sense of the normality of it all from everyone. It's just normal to have tons of cops waving metal detectors and normal to expect that searches might include all but the most invasive cavity runs.

Why are the TSA even involved? I'm actually not all that surprised a prom might have pat down security.
