And lo, come the morning the creature was miraculously ambulatory again—from the looks of him the other night I'd have sworn he had just hours to live—and is tottering around today, although his appetite is poor. I defer to the spousette, who first undertook doggums' care and feeding in 1993, as to when to pull the plug. At the moment the creature seems to have climbed back up to the "Boss! I can do this!" stance. I won't trouble this forum with further developments until the inevitable last.
