In fact if you go read up on it, you'll see that the REALLY BIG SEO sellers do it to see which domains to keep based on hits and traffic generated. Apparently now its being used for SPAM. Huge amounts of SPAM domains are being setup automatically. The tasting cost little to nothing and can be automated. Its bad.
