Keep driving that bus, Bill
it's taking your country straight into the ditch.

Certainly
I'll drive it today and two trips on Sunday.
You are falling into it with everyone else..taking advantage of a tragedy with limited basis in politics and using it for political gamesmanship. The guy was nuts. He wasn't a democrat or a republican or a tea party member...he was nuts. to have one side now pounding their feet in the sand and saying "see, its all your fault" is pure bullshit gamesmanship. Both sides play the game. They've always played the game. And to go through 20 years of soundbites and press snippets to play gotcha with this...well, its not doing the Judges memory any justice. Sure, understanding today's complex world of the future is a little like having bees live in your head. But...there they are.

I like the way this was put
If you think it's okay because "only a psycho" would take it seriously, then don't act all pissed off when a psycho takes it seriously.
Show me a lefty politician who ran for the senate who ruminated about "2nd amendment remedies" if they should lose the election, please. |

that kid in Az never heard that speech. Never heard that line. From either one of them.
correct, context matters. And neither of those incidents are in context (unless you happen to be a blogger on the left). Sure, understanding today's complex world of the future is a little like having bees live in your head. But...there they are.

Yesterday, I noted that, according to the Scranton Times, Kanjorski said this about Florida's new Republican Governor Rick Scott on October 23: Any opinions expressed by me are mine alone, posted from my home computer, on my own time as a free American and do not reflect the opinions of any person or company that I have had professional relations with in the past 55 years. meep

And he should spend the rest of his life in prison, and not one of those "Club Fed" places either. Shooting him would let him off easy. "Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from." -- E.L. Doctorow |
