New naacp be racist
http://wcbstv.com/to...cp.2.1812710.html
Im shocked I tell you, shocked
New You're really reaching, Box.
New exactly the same as teaparty
someone makes racist remarks and their ass gets kicked out and denounced by the group, this is a reach? Its the same thing
New Seriously?
http://mediamatters....mmtv/201007200028

"wife of farmer says former USDA official is a "friend" who "helped us save our farm""

Yeah, that's just like "us coloreds need you to pay your taxes so we can get big screen tvs".

Stop repeating known liars... after a while their reputation becomes yours.
New did you hear the laughter and amens in her speech?
the
New You're better than this.

To quickly review, a video from the right-wing website shows USDA official Shirley Sherrod, who has been the director of regional development in Georgia, talking to the NAACP about an instance in which she didn't work as hard as she should have for a white farmer because she was "struggling with the fact that so many black people had lost their farm land." What the clip didn't show was that Sherrod was talking about an incident from 24 years ago -- long before she joined the USDA -- in which she eventually worked with that farmer to help ward off foreclosure of his farm.

Breitbart posted another hatchetjob. You shouldn't be falling for it.

(And the NAACP and Vilsack shouldn't have jumped to conclusions.)

When will they learn that edited video tapes aren't reality?

Cheers,
Scott.
New nice try but no cigar
when she was telling the story the laughter and audience indicated that they liked getting it over on the uppity farmer, before she explained the rest of the story. That was the racism right there. I you dont think groups of blacks gathered together dont have anti white thoughts you live on a different planet than I do. Or maybe you beleive white people were created from a crazy black scientist/wizard named Yackub 6k years ago, that might explain it.
New C'mon box
only old white republicans can be racist. Its a known fact.
I will choose a path that's clear. I will choose freewill.
New No, they are just way better at it.
---------------------------------------
I think it's perfectly clear we're in the wrong band.
(Tori Amos)
New Watch the unedited tape.
Start around the 11 minute point if you can't watch the whole thing. Keep going to the 21:30 point or so.

It's the 2nd video here - http://crooksandliar...d-andrew-breitbar

I think you owe them an apology.

Cheers,
Scott.

New 49-52 seconds, laughing and amen chorus
"While he was trying to be superior to me I was deciding on how much help to give him" at that point the audience had no idea of the rest of the story, All they knew was this black sister, at this particular point in time, was going to fuck over the white guy and they heartily approved.
New Watch it again.

HTH.

Cheers,
Scott.
New have several times
before the audience hears the whole story, no one is objecting, many are laughing and cheering her on.
New Sounds like you've only watched the 2:36 version, not all.
New cheese nother I have heard the entire thing
where she explains that she worked with the family and realized that color doesnt matter, that isnt the point. The audience was clearly racist in its reaction to the beginning of the statement at 49-52 seconds before they had the paul harvey moment. She isnt racist, her audience clearly was.
New "Clearly" is in the eye of the beholder. FWIW.
New if it was a white speaker and crowd
you would be tuning up the civil rights attorneys as we speak.
New You don't know me very well, then.
This covers the topic pretty well for me: http://www.theatlant...ic-scandal/60147/

In each case, the controversy requires an esoteric reading. The great preponderance of the evidence is dismissed as concealing what the enlightened few are able to recognize as the hidden truth. Small deviations, instead of being ignored as insignificant exceptions, become freighted with greater meaning than the norm. And these arguments are immune from rebuttal. Any action, any words that would seem to contradict the esoteric reading can be dismissed as cover. Anyone unable to see the hidden meanings that are so readily apparent to believers can safely be ignored, because they refuse to see the truth.

A few words in a longer comment don't enlighten. They can be twisted and appear to mean the opposite of what the person actually said.

I've said on many occasions that context matters. Believe it or not, I believe that.

FWIW.

Cheers,
Scott.
