I've always mixed it with "regular" syrup.
New xian, the only thing qualified to ever mix with maple syrup
is hot bacon grease, half and half in a cup to dip pancakes into. Anything else is sacrilege.

Why would you want to ruin perfectly good scotch maple syrup by desecrating it with water corn syrup?

BTW- if you want to save dough the best way to buy it is in cans shortly after production when it's cheap and plentiful. 'Course, that only works if you live reasonably close to a sugar bush....
