Were those the eyes of Jeff Bridges I saw?
If so, that would make a great link to the original (although nobody under the age of 40 has probably seen it).
EDIT: I forgot about Bruce Boxleitner's role; more homage to the original.
"Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from."

Hope Boxleitner's more than just an early cameo to set it up

Re: Dang, can't download it
Select download on one of the links below it, and you'll get a scrap of html used to load the player. The movie's actual link is in that... wget will pull it for you.

Groovy, thanks
Why can't a "download" link just be a damn download any more?

Okay, finally saw it. Had to grab the 1280 version, since the big one was playing choppy on my box.
So does anyone know where they're going to have it in IMAX 3D?

Just watched the original a few weeks ago
Unlike most movies with digital effects, this stood up amazingly well. It still looks beautiful, and the edges between practical and digital effects were absolutely seamless.
And the story absolutely SUCKS! Good lord but that was a horrible movie.

Still looking good.
Not often are there movies that I anticipate...this is one.
Sure, understanding today's complex world of the future is a little like having bees live in your head. But...there they are.

And Apple's still pissing me off
It's a trailer. The whole point is for people to see it. Why do they make it so damn hard to download their ads?
===
Edit: You know, I think I like the look of the first better. And it looks like the story could be just as bad. Hmm ... I should be looking forward to this more, but I'm not.

Are you sure it's Apple's fault?
something tells me the studios control that.

Maybe, but ...
I found it at several other locations. Apple.com was the only one that I couldn't save. The control on the player even showed an option to download, which didn't work (on my system).
