This is one of the most fucked things I've ever seen in computing. At least when MS are dicks they do it with grace. Sun are dicks with no grace whatsoever. You should read some JQS horror stories out there. The only FINAL solution is to completely disable the service in Control Panel. I am looking at the MS VM and intend to be completely rid of Sun Java as soon as possible.

Java is the worst idea in the history of computing. Sun has beaten Microsoft as the greatest assholes in corporate computing yet.
